TOURNAMENT VOLUNTEERS
The 2005 TOC's and All-stars were fun and exciting
and this last season we had volunteers sending in scores and results
along with photos of some of the games. The District Staff would
like to recognize you and give thanks for your participation.
This was the fourth season of posting tournament results. Not
100% but closer this last season, and we will continue to get better as
more and more family members and friends are following the
tournaments. Please contact the District 2 Information Officer

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The
2005 season is just around the corner and it will be here in no
time. The Tournament of Champions will begin in June and
All-Stars will begin in July but for its success we must
plan now and recruit volunteers and get them committed as soon
as possible. We will be
continually seeking volunteers to help at the tournaments and
the volunteers needed are
scorekeepers (online tutorial

how to score) , statisticians and photographers. We supply all

Where are all the volunteer umpires? Every year local leagues have elections, organizational
meetings, registrations, drafts, etc.. Then, a week before the
season starts someone asks, “What about umpires?” This story
portrays some items leagues should think about in building a
viable volunteer umpire program.
